Abstract

The expansion of financial technology has increased e-wallet adoption in Indonesia, particularly among university students. However, concerns related to financial understanding, transaction security, and service reliability may influence decisions to use these services. This study aimed to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of financial literacy, perceived security, and trust on decisions to use the DANA e-wallet among Management students at Ngurah Rai University. A quantitative associative design was employed using questionnaire data from 81 respondents, supplemented by secondary data. The research instruments were assessed for validity and reliability, while the data were analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, t-tests, and an F-test with SPSS version 25. The findings showed that financial literacy had a positive and significant effect on decisions to use DANA (B = 0.126; p = 0.036). Perceived security (B = 0.473; p < 0.001) and trust (B = 0.406; p < 0.001) also had positive and significant effects. Simultaneously, the three variables had a significant effect on decisions to use DANA (F = 203.704; p < 0.001), explaining 88.4% of the variance. These results indicate that students’ decisions to use DANA were influenced by their financial literacy, confidence in transaction security, and trust in the service. Therefore, strengthening financial literacy, perceived security, and service reliability may encourage greater adoption of DANA among university students.
